Deven Childers provides a training method where foundation and the leadership of the rider are key; after all, if you aren't the leader, your horse will be. 

Through private lessons, full training, clinics or demonstrations, Deven will help you reach your goals.  Utilizing his techniques as a Certified John Lyons Trainer as well as additional methods that he has developed, you will gain confidence in your working relationship with your horse and your abilities.

News:

The 2011 Western States Horse Expo is almost here! I just realized it had been forever since I updated our website so you will see some changes over the next few weeks .

We will be posting some information about horses and students that have been in training recently along with discussing some challenges and wins we've all had over the last several months and a few new testimonials from happy clients.


About our home...

Our facility, ReinMaker Ranch, is located in the Sacramento valley in the community of Rio Linda, CA

Deven and his wife Michele have owned and trained their own horses for over 20 years.  Looking for more formalized training, Deven went to Colorado in 2005 to attend the John Lyons Certification Program and became a John Lyons Certified Trainer in October of '05. 

Be sure to check out pictures of the 3 year old Mustang, Independance (Indy, below left) and yearling Peek-A-Boo (Boo, below right)!  These horse were Deven and Michele's entries for the Extreme Mustang Makeover in Ft. Worth Texas in 2008.  Indy came home with us after the competition and Boo was adopted by a wonderful family in Texas.
